Join our LNG leaders to learn more about LNG in Asia and Africa

ExxonMobil LNG is pleased support this year’s IP Week with two of our executives who will discuss opportunities for the industry in Africa and Asia.

IP week is hosted by the Energy Institute and will focus on the energy challenges facing the world today and in the coming decade. Taking place Feb. 23-25, it will be the first time the conference is virtual.

Tze San Koh, President China Gas Marketing, ExxonMobil will be joining Andrew Walker, VP Strategy and Communication, Cheniere; Siho Ryu, Principal Researcher, Research Institute of Economics & Management, KOGAS; and Hitoshi Nishizawa, Executive Officer, Senior Operating Officer, Optimization Department, JERA.

Their fireside chat will cover a range of topics pertaining to Asia Pacific, including factors that affect demand, the future of shipping in the post-COVID era, the future for energy demand across the region and the role that natural gas will play.

“China is estimated to import ~67.6 MT of LNG in 2020, representing a ~12% increase year on year. I look forward to discussing the competitiveness of LNG in China and how it is well-positioned to support President Xi’s vision of peak carbon emissions by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060, as well as hearing the thoughts from this esteemed panel,” said Tze San.

Tracy Lothian, Senior Vice President, LNG, ExxonMobil will be joining Colette Hirstius, VP Exploration Africa & Middle East, Shell; Engr Anthony Attah, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Nigeria LNG; and Katherine Roe, Chief Executive, Wentworth Resources to talk about the prospects and opportunities for natural gas in Africa.

“I’ve had the fantastic opportunity to participate in the growth and development of Mozambique’s LNG project, a project that has the potential to transform Mozambique and pave the way for the country to become a leading LNG exporter.” Tracy explained. “I am excited to discuss the future of energy in this developing region with my fellow panelists.”
