The Mozambique Gas Virtual Summit is taking place from the 28th-29th October 2020. Whilst COVID-19 continues to redefine our everyday lives, there is still much to discuss regarding the evolving energy landscape and the role that LNG will continue to play in the development of Mozambique’s natural gas industry.

Jos Evens, General Manager, Mozambique Business Unit will provide an update on the latest developments for the Rovuma LNG project, and discuss the outlook for the LNG industry.

About Area 4

Area 4 is operated by Mozambique Rovuma Venture S.p.A. (MRV), an incorporated joint venture owned by Eni, ExxonMobil and CNPC, which holds a 70 percent interest in the Area 4 exploration and production concession contract. In addition to MRV, Galp, KOGAS and Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos E.P. each hold a 10 percent interest in Area 4.

ExxonMobil is leading the construction and operation of natural gas liquefaction and related facilities on behalf of MRV, and Eni is leading the construction and operation of upstream facilities.

Mozambique Project Overview: Updates on Existing, Planned & Future Projects

Jos Evens, General Manager, Mozambique Business Unit, ExxonMobil Moçambique, Limitada will be joined by Carlos Zacarias, President, INP, Robert Dall’Omo, Managing Director & General Manager, Eni Rovuma Basin and Katan Hirachand, Co-head & MD, Societe Generale to discuss updates on existing, future and planned LNG project ins Mozambique. They will share their views on how Mozambique’s LNG supply will impact the global LNG industry over the next five years and the implications of the Covid-19 pandemic on energy markets. The panel will address how regulatory frameworks can be implemented to help encourage new investments.
